Bloody Bangkok with Virago Kali Gin and Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato

Will Gray

TGIF, y'all. The weekend is upon us.

Jen and I are sipping something a little different this evening. Jen snagged a bottle of this Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato, which we're mixing up here alongside Virago Spirits Kali Hibiscus Gin and Bloody Bangkok. With bold flavors of hibiscus, galangal, citrus, and botanicals, this pretty much HAS to cure what ails you, right?

Ingredients:

- 4oz Bloody Bangkok

- 3oz Virago Spirits Kali Hibiscus Gin

- 0.50oz Ramazzotti Aperitivo Rosato

- 0.25oz fresh lemon juice

Method:

Set two cocktail coupes or your preferred glasses in the freezer to chill. Combine all ingredients in a shaker over ice. Stir until very cold. Taste, and adjust if necessary to get the balance just where you want it: Bangkok for umami, Ramazotti for sweetness, lemon for acid (we needed a splash more lemon).

Retrieve your chilled glasses and strain the cocktail between the two. Garnish with a lemon twist, or, if you screw it up like Will did, go for a wheel instead. We won't tell.
